Ronin Arms SD conversions are compatible with full-size MP5 receivers and full-size MP5 clones including HK MP5 full-size models, HK SP5, AP5 full-size variants, Zenith full-size ZF-5 series, MKE full-size models, PTR full-size models, POF MP5 full-size, Dakota Tactical D54 builds, and other non-K full-size MP5 builders.

General Rule: If it is a full-length MP5 receiver (not a K-model), it is compatible.

Not Compatible — K Receivers & Variants

HK MP5K and MP5K-N, HK SP89 and SP5K, AP5-P and AP5-M, PTR 9KT and all K variants, Zenith ZF-5P / Z-5P / Z-5K, POF MP5K variants, and all PDW, Micro, K, or K-N receivers cannot be converted to an SD system.

⚠️ Ammunition Requirements (IMPORTANT — READ CAREFULLY)

The Ronin Arms MP5SD system is engineered around standard-pressure ammunition. Unsupported ammunition will cause poor performance and excessive fouling.

✅ Approved Ammunition

• 115gr 9mm ball
• 124gr 9mm ball

These loads are intentionally slowed by the SD ported barrel to achieve consistent subsonic performance.

❌ Ammunition NOT Supported

Do NOT use the following ammunition types:

❌ 147gr ammunition or heavier
❌ Synthetic, polymer, or frangible projectiles
❌ Coated or plated bullets
❌ Subsonic-labeled ammunition
❌ Reloads or non-SAAMI-spec ammo

📌 Synthetic and coated rounds dramatically increase fouling
📌 Improper ammunition can cause cycling issues and accelerated wear
