“In Stock” does not mean ready to ship. It means we have the required components available and can place your MP5SD™ conversion into our active 2–4 month conversion queue.
Your MP5SD™ is a conversion of your existing full-size MP5 platform, individually converted, fit, and tested one at a time by one gunsmith.
The 2–4 month conversion timeline begins once your firearm has been received, checked in, and all required components and information have been verified.
Every MP5SD™ conversion requires individual gunsmithing, fitting, inspection, testing, and processing before it can leave our shop.
RONIN ARMS™ DOES NOT COMPLETE YOUR ATF FORM 4473 OR YOUR LOCAL CUSTOMER TRANSFER.
Your Katana suppressor will be transferred from Ronin Arms™ to your selected local FFL/SOT. Your local dealer will handle the Form 4473, background check, and any other customer-facing transfer requirements applicable under current federal, state, and local law.
Ronin Arms™ handles the required manufacturer/dealer transfer process necessary to send the suppressor to your FFL/SOT. Your local FFL/SOT handles the final transfer to you.
Please contact your selected FFL/SOT with questions regarding the Form 4473, background check, identification requirements, waiting periods, or any other requirements that may apply to your individual transfer.
Conversion and transfer timing can vary depending on:

Ronin Arms™ SD conversions are compatible with full-size MP5 receivers and full-size MP5 clones including HK MP5 full-size models, HK SP5, AP5 full-size variants, Zenith full-size ZF-5 series, MKE full-size models, PTR full-size models, POF MP5 full-size, Dakota Tactical D54 builds, and other non-K full-size MP5 builders.
General Rule: If it is a full-length MP5 receiver (not a K-model), it is compatible.
Not Compatible — K Receivers & Variants
HK MP5K and MP5K-N, HK SP89 and SP5K, AP5-P and AP5-M, PTR 9KT and all K variants, Zenith ZF-5P / Z-5P / Z-5K, POF MP5K variants, and all PDW, Micro, K, or K-N receivers cannot be converted to an SD system.

The Ronin Arms™ MP5SD system is engineered around standard-pressure ammunition. Unsupported ammunition will cause poor performance and excessive fouling.
These loads are intentionally slowed by the SD ported barrel to achieve consistent subsonic performance.
Do NOT use the following ammunition types:
❌ 147gr ammunition or heavier
❌ Synthetic, polymer, or frangible projectiles
❌ Coated or plated bullets
❌ Subsonic-labeled ammunition
❌ Reloads or non-SAAMI-spec ammo
📌 Heavier projectiles provide no benefit in an SD system
📌 Synthetic and coated rounds dramatically increase fouling
📌 Improper ammunition can cause cycling issues and accelerated wear
Failure to follow these ammunition guidelines may result in reliability issues and is not covered under warranty.

8️⃣ Final QC inspection before shipment
