“In Stock” does not mean ready to ship. It means we have the required components available and can place your AP5-SD Full-Size conversion into our active 2–4 month conversion queue.
Your AP5-SD Full-Size conversion is individually built, fit, and tested one at a time by one gunsmith.
The 2–4 month conversion timeline begins once your firearm has been received, checked in, and all required components and information have been verified.
These are not pre-built conversions sitting on a shelf ready to ship. Every AP5-SD Full-Size conversion requires individual gunsmithing, fitting, inspection, testing, and processing before it can leave our shop.
RONIN ARMS™ DOES NOT COMPLETE YOUR ATF FORM 4473 OR YOUR LOCAL CUSTOMER TRANSFER.
Your Katana suppressor will be transferred from Ronin Arms™ to your selected local FFL/SOT. Your local dealer will handle the Form 4473, background check, and any other customer-facing transfer requirements applicable under current federal, state, and local law.
Ronin Arms™ handles the required manufacturer/dealer transfer process necessary to send the suppressor to your FFL/SOT. Your local FFL/SOT handles the final transfer to you.
Please contact your selected FFL/SOT with questions regarding the Form 4473, background check, identification requirements, waiting periods, or any other requirements that may apply to your individual transfer.
Conversion and transfer timing can vary depending on:

Being one of the more expensive conversions, I had some high expectations, and Ronin Arms surpassed them. I’ve watched/read several reviews of conversions from other companies and saw things like the a few supersonic cracks from 115s, leaving the standard cocking tube, no refinish, etc. The work and attention put into my gun was well worth the wait and price. They gave attention to the small details like lining the cocking tube up perfectly, clean welds on the SD cage to spec. As far as the actual shooting, this is the quietest, smoothest MP5 I’ve shot. I ran 300 rounds of 115gr with no issues, and thanks to their unique porting, it’s not filthy at all. Highly recommend.

Scott did an incredible job on the actual conversion. The quality of the work is excellent, the gun runs great, and it has quickly become one of my absolute favorite firearms to shoot. I had high expectations going into an AP5-SD conversion, and the finished product absolutely lived up to them.
